References and @ mentions

In Sumi Studio, a node gets another node's media in one of two ways: a link (a hard reference), or an @ mention in the prompt.

Linking an upstream node to the current node makes the upstream output (image, video, audio, text) an input to the current generation. A link is a "hard" reference — it states exactly where the data comes from and where it goes. Remove the link and the reference is gone.

@ mentions to reference media

Type @ in a node's prompt box to open the media picker, split into Linked nodes, Elements and Personal library. Your pick inserts a removable reference tag into the prompt, submitted with the generation. That way you can bring in a past asset or a saved element for this run without linking it first.

First / last frames and reference order

When a node takes several reference images, they are ordered by link order by default. In first and last frame mode the generator bar has explicit First frame and Last frame slots, and Swap first and last exchanges them; some models also add an Image use tag to each reference (subject / scene / style).
